Credits: This all-time classic was written by Karen Lafferty in 1972.

One day back in June, I was sitting around and just thinking: “I haven’t written any Chinese lyrics in a long while!” So I started thinking what song I can give it a shot, and as I was thinking that, this song just came to mind. I started ‘singing’ it in my mind and became so moved by it, so then I started writing a couple of Chinese lines for it and was planning to finish it up later. A few days later, I received an e-mail from a friend asking me if I could write Chinese lyrics for exactly this song for her wedding! I was *shocked* to read her e-mail, really. I guess God really wanted to remind me the lyrics in this song. I always feel that He wanted to remind me certain lyrics and the meanings in them whenever He moved me to write certain songs.

The Original Lyrics:

Seek ye first the Kingdom of God
And His righteousness
And all these things shall be added unto you
Hallelu, Hallelujah!

Man shall not live by bread alone
But by every word
That proceeds from the mouth of God
Hallelu, Hallelujah!

Ask and it shall be given unto you
Seek and ye shall find
Knock and the door shall be opened unto you
Hallelu, Hallelujah!

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart
He shall direct thy paths
In all thy ways acknowledge Him
Hallelu, Hallelujah!
